Underscore Gaming Staff Handbook


 

This handbook is to be followed by all staff at all times, no matter the server, no matter the situation.

 

This Handbook is a work in progress and will be updated without notification besides the time stamp at the bottom.

 

SECTION I. GUIDELINES OF STAFF HIRING

 

  1. All staff must be over 13 years of age.
  2. Staff must provide all details asked in complete honesty and accuracy.
  3. No staff may be hired if they currently retain any community bans.
  4. Staff may be hired under certain circumstances if they retain any server bans.
  5. Certain circumstances are judged by the hiring staff and management.
  6. Staff are not to apply or be accepted again if fired or retired unless approved by community management

 

SECTION II. GUIDELINES OF STAFF BEHAVIOR IN FORUMS

 

  1. Administrators are to enforce all guidelines in all forums.
  2. Moderators are to enforce all guidelines in their specific boards.
  3. Support Staff are to answer all support tickets in a timely manner.
  4. No support ticket should remain open for longer than three days unless approved by management
  5. Support Staff are to answer all tickets no matter the submitter or content.
  6. Support staff are to ensure that they build up the knowledge base with the most frequently asked questions

 

SECTION III. GUIDELINES OF STAFF BEHAVIOR IN DISCORD

 

  1. Staff are to follow all rules laid in place for the discord server
  2. Staff are to follow both the community discord server guidelines and server specific guidelines at ALL TIMES
    1. This applies no matter which servers they may physically be in.
  3. Staff are to follow the rules of each discord channel
  4. Staff are to enforce the guidelines of the discord at all times unless otherwise specified in the guidelines
  5. Staff are allowed to disregard rules for channels that have been specified as exempt from the rules (aka NSFW Channels)

 

SECTION IV. GUIDELINES OF STAFF BEHAVIOR IN SERVER

 

  1. Staff are to follow all rules laid in place by the Server Manager
  2. Staff are to ensure they are in the mind set of being a role model for players
  3. Staff are to follow the chain of command for the server laid in place by the Server Manager
  4. Staff are to enforce all rules laid in place by the Server Manager.

 

SECTION V. COMMUNITY CHAIN OF COMMAND

Goes in order from Highest rank, to lowest

 

  • Chief Executive Officer
  • Community Board of Directors
  • Chief Technology Officer
  • Chief Administrative Officer
  • Chief Support Officer
  • Support Staff
  • Server Manager
  • Server Management Staff
  • Server Staff
  • Forum Administrator
  • Forum Moderator
  • Donator
  • Retired Staff
  • Member
  • Banned

 

SECTION VI. COMMUNITY STANDARDS IN SERVERS

 

  1. All game servers ran under the Underscore Gaming Community must be under full ownership of the acting Chief Executive Officer.
  2. Server manager will be given server management level permissions to run, develop, and arrange permissions to other users.
  3. All servers under the Underscore Gaming community must be tagged with "[USG]" or "Underscore Gaming".

 

SECTION VII. COMMUNITY STANDARDS IN DISCORDS

 

  1. All discord servers branded under the Underscore Gaming title must be under full ownership by the acting Chief Executive Officer.
  2. Server Manager of respected servers shall be given full administrative power over all server related discord servers.
  3. All discord servers under the Underscore Gaming title must be tagged with "[USG]" or "[UG]".

 

SECTION VIII. COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT STANDARDS

 

  1. CEO is to be completely transparent when it comes to the financials of the Community when asked
  2. CEO is to be ready to provide a report of current financial status at every other billing period
  3. CEO is to keep the community up to date on current operations taking place.
  4. CTO is to ensure complete security of all of the community's systems
  5. CTO is to ensure that updates are regularly pushed to ensure that all systems are up to date and usable
  6. CTO is responsible for daily log monitoring.
  7. CAO is to ensure all staff follow the chain of command.
  8. CAO is to ensure all staff follow all guidelines that apply to them
  9. CSO is to ensure that all support staff answer tickets in a hasty manner
  10. CSO is to ensure that all support staff answer all tickets with worthwhile answers
  11. All management staff (CEO, CTO, CAO, CSO, and Server Managers) must all agree on yes when it comes to issuing a network wide ban.
